John Agama (Deputy Clerk of the Parliament of Ghana) made a key intervention this afternoon: He put his finger on one of the essential messages that should come out of this conference. The need to develop a political approach to addressing ICT needs in the African public sector.
In his opinion, it isn’t enough to consider serious information management developments as purely a technical issue, it needed to be brought to the table of the highest policy authorities in the parliaments. He seems like an ideal proponent of such an approach, and is indeed in tune with m own preoccupations of the conference.
